A: Yes, it is being developed by a volunteer team of engineers from Dell-EMC and industry members of the STEM Partners Foundation.
Q: Is my profile and contact information secure after I pre-register?

Q: Is the STEM MENTOR EXCHANGE just for Utah?
A: Yes, at least for the near future.
Q: Who can register in the STEM MENTOR EXCHANGE?
A: Users must be 18 years or older. The app is designed to connect professional educators with mentors who can provide expertise and resources in helping prepare students for the future. The app is not designed to connect mentors with students on a one-to-one basis, without the association of a professional educator.
Q: Are background checks required to volunteer?
A: Yes & No. Volunteers serve in association with, and in the presence of school employed educators. The Utah State Board of Education policy requires that educators be present in the classroom or at activities when volunteers are engaged with students, and depending upon school district policy, background checks may be required. It is the responsibility of the educator to initiate background checks if needed, in compliance with school guidelines.
Q: Will my profile of contact information be shared or used for other purposes not associated with the STEM MENTOR EXCHANGE?
A: The STEM MENTOR EXCHANGE will not share or use your profile for any purpose not associated with STEM MENTOR EXCHANGE. The STEM MENTOR EXCHANGE cannot and does not, however, control the collection, use, or disclosure of your profile or contact information by educational institutions, educators, or industry volunteers, but we strongly discourages any use of such information for any non-STEM MENTOR EXCHANGE purposes.
Q: Who owns and operates the STEM MENTOR EXCHANGE?
A: The STEM MENTOR EXCHANGE is owned and operated by the STEM Partners Foundation, a non-profit 501c(3). The foundation is operated by a coalition of industry, education and government leaders and organizations who contribute to the development, distribution, communications and management of the STEM MENTOR EXCHANGE.
