Join the Exchange. Unleash curiosity. Prepare our kids.
It’s a mobile app connecting education and industry.
Coming April 2017.
The STEM Mentor Exchange is a mobile “matching” app designed to build active relationships between teachers and skilled volunteers, and provide educators access to industry resources and opportunities.
One of the great challenges facing industry today is having enough STEM-educated employees to grow and continue innovating.
The goal of STEM MX is to help solve the STEM-skilled workforce shortage by enabling industry volunteers to collaborate with teachers and unleash the innate curiosity of their kids – providing the experiences that will turn them into the thinkers and dreamers of tomorrow, and prepared to take on these great new jobs.
STEM MX allows volunteers to list the skills, supplies, internships, grants, and other resources they offer; and for teachers to list the subjects, projects, events, and other resources they need. Volunteers and teachers can then search and connect.
The Exchange is being developed by a volunteer team of engineers and executives, from Dell-EMC, Adobe, Pluralsight, IM Flash, Boeing – along with the support of the Utah Technology Council, the Women Tech Council, the Utah STEM Action Center, the Utah State Board of Education, and other STEM Partner Foundation members.
STEM MX is scheduled for release in April 2017.
